  • Yes, Definitely. You have to apply online at MCEAR website in the month of June or July 2017. If you or your family is depending on Agriculture, you can also take that certificate + plus any other certificates like, NCC sports etc. They will addup to your marks and will improve the overall score while allocating the merit ranks.

  • For BSc Agriculture 50% marks for General and 40% marks for SC, ST and PH categories in 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent with BiPC / MBiPC / Agriculture subject combinations.

  • There are no FAKE colleges. They represent some of the best and reputed UGC recognised universities/colleges. Only thing is that the way these institutes project themselves is not proper and there is a huge communication gap between these local institutes and the students. You have to know everything before joining any institute/college/university.

  • Your rank in the final merit list is 15145. There are only 2687 seats in government colleges in all branches. For NT(B), only 2.5% seats are reserved and 1280 people under NT(B) category have applied. For women 33% seats are reserved. Considering the rank and reservation, there is no possibility to get a seat in government college. So my adivse is to accept the private college and continue your studies.

  • You have already got admission for BSc Agri in SVGI college of Agriculture Jalgaon Jamod, Buldana District. This is very good college. There is no reason why you want to change the college. Before 10th August, go and report at the college to confirm your seat, otherwise you may lose this seat also. For spot admissions, you can check the seat availability position on 13th of this month and then attend for spot round if there are seats vacant in government colleges or private colleges at pune, akola side under OBC category.

  • You just call that particular college where you want to seek admission to find out the vacancies under management quota and if seat available, then go to that college directly and talk to them about the fees and other admission procedure. Most of the colleges have already closed the seats under management quota. Please check quickly and if you selected any one or two colleges, please let me know, so that I can update you the seat availability and fees status. Otherwise, you can find the college phone number from the internet and call them directly.

  • For Agri. Bio-Technology, Food Technology & Animal Husbandry Rs.1,95,000/- per year, and for all other courses like BSc Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry, Rs.1,05,000 / per year is the official annual fees for management seat in Maharashtra Agriculture colleges. • If you are from the state other than Maharashtra, then you are considered as OS (Other State) category. Under OS category, 2% seats are reserved in Government Agriculture colleges in Maharashtra, the students of which are admitted based on the ranking. All other OS candidates can seek admissions in private agriculture colleges under management quota.

  • If you have applied online at MCEAR webiste, then you are eligible to seek admission under management quota on merit basis. If not, then you have no chance of getting admission under any quota, except NRI quota.

  • Have you applied online at mcear website.? If applied, then you can seek admission under management quota if you have not got seat through merit. If you have not applied online at mcear website, then you are not eligible to seek admission under any quota, except under NRI quota.

  • Wait for the III round of allotment, before you come to any conclusion. It is unlikely to get seat for BSc Agriculture even in the III round. If you have given options for other courses like BBA, BTech etc, perhaps, you may get a chance in the III round..

  • You have been already allotted B.Tech Agriculture Engineering at KK Wagh College of Agri.Engineering and Technology, Saraswatinagar, Mumbai-Agra Road, Panchawati, Nasik- 422003. B.Tech Agri Engg is also very good course. There are equal opportunities to that of BSc Agri. Still, if you do not want to join, then you have to refuse and wait for the III round of allotment to see the final list. But, be cautious, as you may lose the present seat, if you are not allotted any seat in III round. Please consult the officials at MPKV, Rahuri, before taking any decision.

  • Yes but I had called in MCEAR Pune they told me that you can apply in spot round
    I can or not ?

  • Dear Mr. Krishna Dubey,
Online Application is a mandatory requirement of MCEAR, Pune. Anyone who desires to obtain admission for any of the agri related courses like BSc Agriculture in government / private colleges of Maharashtra, it is compulsary to apply online. The online application process started on 6th June and closed on 29th June, 2016. If you have not applied during that period, then you have no chance of getting admission in any of the colleges of Maharashtra, except under NRI quota. Please note that even for Management seats also, you need to apply online.

  • I have got 72% in HSC but didn’t filled online admission form so how I can get admission in bsc AG ?

  • You have not mentioned to which state you belong? If you are from Maharashtra, then the possibilities are there. But if you are under OS category, then there is no weightage for caste.

  • I have got 83% in inter BC.D categery.i have eligible for free seat in bsc agri in government college or not

  • Yes, You can get admission in government agriculture colleges of Maharashtra based on merit. There is a 2% out of the total seats in government agriculture colleges exclusively reserved for the merit students from outside states. This is called Other States Category (OS). Based on your merit and other eleigibility status, you can get seat. Since the amount of seats (i.e.2%) is very less, getting seat under this catagory is very limited. Roughly about 50 seats out of which 50% are reserved for SC, ST, BC, OBC etc, you are left with just 25 seats for OC candidates.

  • I want to know whether other states candidates who applied for Maharashtra are eligible for getting admission into government collage without consultancy based on candidates merit

  • There is no official rating or survey of agriculture colleges in Maharashtra. One individual or group can not decide about the good or bad college for others. Each student has to evaluate himself/herself about the suitability of the college based on certain standard parameters like, how old is the college, who is running the college, what is the teaching staff strength and their qualifications, labs and equipments available, area of land for field research, affiliations/collabarations with other regional/national/international agencies, placement records etc.

  • 19% of the seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC), but they must produce ‘Non-Creamy Layer Certificate’ issued on or after 1st April,2016 or valid upto the date of submission of application form by the Competent Authority. Inorder to get a free seat, there is no fixed percentage of marks. However based on the trends and previous year cutoff marks at various agriculture colleges in Maharashtra, students with 50% marks under OBC category have secured seats in BSc Agriculture course.

  • what is the required percentage in inter to get a free seat for o.s candidates
